Riverbed Announces VMware Certification For Performance Solutions
Riverbed Technology, the leader in application performance infrastructure, has announced that its performance platform solutions have achieved VMware Ready – vCloud Air status.
Aiming to provide performance solutions to the increasing number of companies turning to a mixture of on-premises applications and cloud-based services, Riverbed's VMware certified application performance platform systems have been designed to enable hybrid enterprise while optimising application and data performance across private and public data centres and networks.
The Riverbed SteelApp Traffic Manager, the Riverbed SteelCentral Services Control for SteelApp and the Riverbed SteelHead CX have all achieved the new VMware Ready – vCloud Air status, placing the company amongst the first of the vCloud Air ISV Partner program members to complete certification.
Commenting on the benefits of each of the application performance platform solutions, he said: “SteelCentral Service Controller for SteelApp can be used to manage the licensing of many instances of SteelApp Traffic Manager, a market leading virtual ADC, across the hybrid enterprise, keeping costs down and simplifying manageability. SteelHead helps deliver the ideal end-user experience with its application optimization and acceleration capabilities.”
According to Jeff Pancottine, senior vice president and general manager of SteelApp at Riverbed, these certified Riverbed solutions can move between on-premises and cloud environments, ensuring optimised performance wherever the applications are deployed.
