Riverbed Helps Major Private Equity Firm Deliver UC
Global private equity giant The Riverside Company says it has boosted user satisfaction in a key system by an impressive 80 per cent.
How? With the Riverbed Unified Communication Xpert unified communications (UC) management platform from Riverbed Technology.
The system in question at Riverside is its business-critical VoIP (voice over Internet protocol) communications medium – which had previously been less than satisfactory, in the eyes of staff at the company, which has offices on four continents.
In fact Riverside users, in the words of the firm’s manager of network and telephony operations, had got to the stage where they were typically giving phone and video at work a low rating in surveys.
“We had low satisfaction because we waited for users to contact the help desk when they had a phone or video problem,” says Stalin Guilamo.
But what a turnaround: thanks to the Riverbed system, says Guilamo, his team is now perceived as dynamic and proactive when it comes to the UC system.
That dynamism is being manifested in big advances like being able to roll out new voice apps in about half the time needed before the introduction of Riverbed Unified Communication Xpert, for example.
