Riverbed Launches New Stingray ADC For Amazon Web Services GovCloud
The growing band of US public sector organisations using Amazon’s business cloud services have a new way of maintaining application performance. That’s in the shape of a special version of the award-winning Stingray application delivery controller (ADC) appliance from market leaders Riverbed.
The idea behind the move is to allow any American government body or the people who work with them to be able to meet strict security and performance mandates around cloud-based project work.
The solution consists of the 9.5 release of Riverbed Stingray on the section of the Amazon cloud dedicated to Federal customers – GovCloud.
Riverbed says it designed the system for the AWS GovCloud based on its keen awareness of the concerns government customers have regarding application scalability, security and availability when moving sensitive and mission-critical workloads to the cloud.
“We are seeing increasing demand for US government agencies to deploy new and existing workloads into cloud environments,” confirms the vendors’ director of AWS public sector activity, Max Peterson.
Stingray can help with this problem as its proven technology will help optimise, scale, secure and improve the performance of their mission-critical applications in the cloud.
