Riverbed Reports 20 Per Cent Third Quarter Growth
Application performance company Riverbed has reported 20 per cent year-on-year revenue growth. Third quarter numbers jumped to $262 million in the July-September period this year, compared to a Q3 2012 total of $219 million.
Riverbed chairman and CEO Jerry Kennelly noted that the WAN optimisation specialists' vertical performance had been strong – especially in the public sector, and profits were looking healthy due to “strong margin performance and prudent expense control”.
Notable third quarter highlights included RiOS 8.5 integration with Riverbed Cascade® Profiler software, the launch of the new Steelhead CX 255 series offering the same performance benefits as its larger cousin, and the introduction of RiOS 8.5 Path Selection.
A number of appointments were also made throughout the quarter – notable inclusions being senior VP and chief marketing officer, Kate Hutchison, whose background includes spells at BEA Systems and Polycom, and Ginna Raahauge, senior VP and CIO, previously at Cisco, where she headed up the technology platform responsible for invoices.
Riverbed’s support team was also recognised with an award from the J.D. Power 2013 Certified Technology Service and Support Program for the third time in as many years. The award recognises superb customer satisfactions scores across the US.
